From : EC3D has a new Twist on compression

posted Sep 24, 2012, 8:53 AM by Peter Pawlus

EC3D has introduced its latest innovation – the Twist compression sock, which aims to offer performance and recuperation in a single garment.

In ‘Performance Mode’, whilst active, the front compression zone is tighter, stabilizing muscles and reducing unwanted vibration, which can cause muscle soreness near the shinbone (and ultimately could lead to shin splints). Wearing the Twist compression sock, the calf is covered by an area featuring lower compression, in order to allow the muscle to expand. The calf’s surrounding zone features higher compression, for better muscle stability.

Pinch and twist to recuperate!
After physical activity, all the athlete needs to do is pinch and twist the sock (the front colours/patterns should line up with the back of the leg) to switch to ‘Recuperation Mode’. Twisting increases the sock’s compression in key areas and, according to EC3D drains the calves of any remaining toxins.

The Twist compression sock is made of 85% nylon and 15% elastane.
